All New York workers must be vaccinated by the end of this year

The order is likely to be the latest major decision by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio to be mayor of the most populous city in the United States until the end of 2021 alone.

The mayor of New York has issued a decree requiring all employees and workers in New York City to be vaccinated against the Corona virus by December 27.

The new directive was announced by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who will be in office for less than a month, on Monday, December 6, to the American News Network.

Compulsory corona vaccination was previously mandatory for public and private sector employees in New York, but now private sector employees and workers must receive the corona vaccine for up to three more weeks.

The ban on going to work for those who have not been vaccinated will be implemented in New York from December 27 – two days after Christmas.

“We decided in New York to take the lead (in the face of the Omicron threat),” said Mr de Blasio, who will be mayor of New York until the end of December.

“The omicron strain is a new factor, and the weather is getting colder, and these two, along with the delta strain, will be a challenge for us during the banquet season. Vaccination is one of the tools to meet that challenge.”

New York will thus become the first city in the United States to make vaccination mandatory for the private sector. A decision that will affect at least 184,000 workers and private sector employees in this metropolis.
