WhatsApp is a messaging app that considers itself very secure, and all messages and video calls are resumed in this encryption application, which makes users’ communications untraceable.

However, users can make their WhatsApp phone more secure by using biometric security features including fingerprint and face recognition (face recognition). This way, even if someone has physical access to your phone, your WhatsApp messages will remain safe.

How to transfer WhatsApp chats from iPhone to Android?

WhatsApp has recently made it possible to transfer chats from iPhone to Android on phones with newer operating systems, and to do this, you need to use a USB to Lightning cable to connect two devices.

According to ISNA, WhatsApp is one of the most widely used messaging platforms and the company has recently added a new feature. Although WhatsApp recently made it available on multiple devices, one of the problems with WhatsApp users is that it does not allow users to transfer their chat history from iPhone to Android or vice versa.

However, this feature has now changed. With the latest Android 12 operating system released by Google, it now allows users to transfer chats from iPhone to Android. Initially, this feature was available for Samsung phones and is now available for all phones running Android 12 or later. Of course, at the moment, only Pixel phones have Android 12, but many other smartphone makers have released a beta version of their custom operating system based on the latest Android.

How to transfer WhatsApp chat history from iPhone to Android

First, connect your iPhone and Android phone to Lightning using a USB cable. After connecting both devices, open the WhatsApp app on the iPhone. Next, in WhatsApp, go to Settings and then Chats, and then tap “Transfer Chats to Android”. Then when you launch your Android smartphone, you will be asked if you want to transfer WhatsApp history.

To begin the transfer process, scan the QR code displayed on the screen and the WhatsApp chat history will be transferred. Once the transfer is complete, all your conversations, media files, and voicemails will be available on your new Android device.

Google has also confirmed that the Apple iPhone will not receive any new WhatsApp messages while the transfer process is ongoing, so be careful not to miss a new message during this transfer.

WhatsApp “Last Visit” feature is provided for specific audiences

WhatsApp will soon allow you to hide your “last visit” status from specific audiences.

WhatsApp may have a controversial privacy policy behind it. While the latest beta update doesn’t help much with privacy concerns about the messenger parent company, Facebook (Meta), it does help users at least stay more private when dealing with other people who use the app.

The latest beta version of WhatsApp, in the latest update 2.21.33.14, offers an option that allows you to hide your “last visit” status from specific contacts.

In the current version, WhatsApp only has three options for sharing the “last visit”, all the people who have your number, only the people who are saved in your contacts or no one. The new solution allows you to share the last visit with the vast majority of friends and family, while also allowing you to remove people you do not want from the list.

If you want to take advantage of this feature, download the latest beta version of WhatsApp from the Play Store. Of course, at the moment, this change is not yet widely used in WhatsApp and is only available to a limited number of beta testers, but it seems that it will not take long for WhatsApp to make it available to all its users.
